Sequins and beads sewn on satin
The god of thunder, a precursor to rain, is invoked in this flag by Bazile. This rarely portrayed spirit within the Vodou pantheon is honored because of its importance in nature and life. More than other contemporary flag-makers, Bazile is known for broadening the scope of his imagery to include lesser-seen deities.
